I wanted to write up a blog post for everyone with the quick basics of SEO! SEO is search engine optimization; we all know google is the biggest one so that’s where I will start. First thing you will want to make sure is that your site has a title and a meta description for every page. Next make sure you have a site map that you can upload to google search console. Schema and back links are big ones we will get into those further in the blog post. Depending on who you use for hosting you may need to use different tools to create all this, for you word press people Yoast SEO is a great one. Yoast will help with your titles, meta description, and your xml site map. Others will want to check out screaming frog! Yoast SEO will also at help in putting in your keywords, Check out ubersuggest to get some free key words. Now that you know you have titles, meta description and keywords. It is time to create your site map XML using the tools provided earlier. Once you have created the xml file you will need to upload it at google search console. To use search console you will already want a google my business account all set up! Once you have completed these steps you will find that in a few days you will start ranking on google search. To get higher rankings you need great content everything including images with descriptions tons of small stuff you can do to help improve your rankings, I am know going to go in details on these as this is a quick setup but a paid version of uber suggest helps out incredible with this and the google chrome extension site checker will give you a free option that will help. Some of the best ways to get ranking hi fast is back links and schema For back links you will want to shoot for around 10, a back link is a page that is linking to your site or bog. There is a ton of ways of getting back links including paying for them which I do not recommend. If google finds that you paid for your back links they will take your site down. Some free options are yellow pages, white pages and yelp. Schema is another great way to rank higher on google. All in All, SEO is great and a tool you must have for business.
